Today in a trio of multi-language tweets, the Louvre Abu Dhabi announced that they will display Leonardo da Vinci's Salvator Mundi. The museum, which opened last month, offered no further details on the upcoming display of the sensational painting. Dubbed by Christie's as "The Last da Vinci", the painting set a world record at auction last month, selling for $450 million, despite doubts about its authenticity.

Boston, MA- The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston (ICA) will open the Watershed, a new seasonal space for art, with a major project by internationally renowned artist Diana Thater, announced Jill Medvedow, Ellen Matilda Poss Director of the ICA, today. Opening in summer 2018, the Watershed is located across Boston Harbor from the ICA in the East Boston Shipyard and Marina. The ICA will provide a boat to bring visitors between both locations.
New York, NY- On December 2 and 3, the New Museum will celebrate its fortieth anniversary with “Who’s Afraid of the New Now? 40 Artists in Dialogue to Celebrate the New Museum’s Anniversary.”
The Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) showcases some gems in its collection that relate to the concept of “home” in the exhibition “Making Home: Contemporary Art from the DIA,” on view Dec. 1, 2017–June 6, 2018. In a major exhibition, the J. Paul Getty Museum will examine the cultural and artistic connections between Greece, Rome, and the most ancient of the Mediterranean civilizations, Egypt. On view at the Getty Center, from March 27, 2018, through September 9, 2018, Beyond the Nile: Egypt and the Classical World will include nearly 200 rare objects, many of them on view in the U.S. for the first time.
